Any Tax-exempt 501©(3) organization in Hardin, Jefferson and Orange Counties is eligible for consideration. The average grant is $2,000.00. The grants awarded in 2016 are listed on the Foundation’s web site. They include such diverse items as building materials, clothing, school arts supplies, and training for volunteers and renovation of historic projects.
The grants are competitive and organizations that wish to be considered should go on line to the Foundation website at www.cfsetx.org or request an application by calling or e-mailing the Foundation for Southeast Texas. Applications must be submitted to the Foundation no later than February 15, 2017. Applications can be mailed to P.O. Box 3092, Beaumont, TX 77704 or hand delivered to the office at 700 North Street.
The Foundation’s grants committee will review all applications. Consideration will be given to the applicant’s need and adherence to policies and guidelines. A serious effort will be given to awarding grants in all eligible areas including the arts, health, and social services. Grants will be awarded at a ceremony in May.
